Revenge traveling is a thing, and many people are doing it. After staying indoors for two and a half years, it’s normal for people to take every chance they can to travel to new destinations or return to their favorite locations. Now, people are looking forward to traveling and are looking out for affordable tickets and quality service.

Cebu Pacific continues to intensify its operations and now has 77 airbuses for passenger and cargo use

As one of the Philippines’ leading airlines, Cebu Pacific (PSE: CEB) always anticipates its passengers’ needs for frequent and quality flights. This year, CEB continues its mission of ramping up its operations for domestic and international flights.

The airline now flies an average of 340 flights daily, covering 34 domestic and 18 international destinations, equivalent to roughly 64,000 seats. Passengers can enjoy traveling from several major hubs across the country to their select destinations across the globe.

“More than anything, this indicates our confidence in travel recovery and our commitment to serving the Philippines, to serving the Filipinos, through safe and affordable travel,” said Candice Iyog, CEB’s Vice President for Marketing and Customer Experience.

CEB restored 100 percent of its pre-pandemic domestic capacity in April this year. It surpassed its December 2019 level, marking 109 percent restoration in July 2022.

“We are pleased to see more people confidently flying again, not just within the Philippines but [even] abroad. This positive development has not only allowed us to carry more passengers but also boosted our cargo service,” said Xander Lao, Chief Commercial Officer at Cebu Pacific.

Recently, CEB also announced a special seat sale to spur domestic and international travel. The promo runs until today, July 11, offering flights for as low as P188 for a one-way base fare for domestic routes on sale. The travel period is from September 1 to January 31.

CEB also offers a simultaneous special international seat sale on the same travel period above to popular tourist destinations for as low as P499 one-way base fare. It includes flights to South Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taipei, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, and Bangkok, among others.

“We remain committed to offering the lowest fares across our network, and we are encouraged by past seat sale success rates, so we will continue to stimulate travel through our promo fares,” Lao added.

Although CEB’s operations are almost at their peak performance, the company’s executives continue to encourage passengers to adhere to health protocols for safer journeys. One is the mandatory wearing of face masks, and the other is getting the COVID-19 vaccine to mitigate its spread and effects.

CEB achieved a 7-star safety rating from airlineratings.com for its COVID-19 compliance. It continues to implement a multi-layered approach to safety while operating with a 100 percent fully-vaccinated crew, with 95 percent boosted to ensure every “Juan” flies safely and conveniently on Cebu Pacific.
