Post-holiday predicaments (and what we ought to do about them)

Holidays came and went by so fast and before I thought deeply about it, it’s the year 2022. A few days ago we celebrated the Chinese New Year and although it’s a more subdued kind of celebration than what we’re used to before the pandemic, food is still one of the central parts of this gathering.

For some of us, we have yet to re-establish our workout routines having just come from weeks of binge-eating and a break from exercising.

Good job to those who were able to continue their exercise routines even during the long holiday period.

One should make time for exercise, especially after the holidays

I was one of those who (may have enjoyed way too much food and) took a break from exercising. I can list my excuses but the truth is, one should make time for exercise, or for their overall health and wellness. No excuses.

Having said that, I have slowly started with my routine again, even if my schedule has been quite hectic for the past weeks. It’s been challenging, to say the least, because sometimes, I would rather prefer to hit the sack than sweat it out. There were quite a few times when I had to make a hard stop at work just to take a 30-minute walk within my area.

OMRON’s newest body composition monitors and digital weight scale provides a comprehensive and accurate view on users’ health.

I’m looking forward to when I can fully establish a more solid exercise routine, even if it’s just an hour of combined jogging and stretching.

When it comes to food choices, I make it a point to include fresh fruits and vegetables in at least one meal. In that area, I think I’m doing a good job, so far.
