Wine Story Academy is offering professionals representing diverse industries a rare opportunity to further their careers through a Wine & Sprit Education Trust (WSET) course. The WSET Level 2 Award in Wines & Spirits is happening on January 22-24, 2015 at Wine Story, G/F Shangri-La Mall along Edsa Shaw, Mandaluyong City. The course will start from 9 am to 4 pm each day.
During the course, students will learn about the prominent wine regions of the world, and certainly reinforce their know-how through a sensory experience of tasting 47 wines & spirits. The course serves as gateway for those who want to further advance in the wine and hospitality trade, and is also beneficial to those who are seriously committed to advancing their knowledge about wines.
It is an interesting way to learn about the factors that influence wine, the key grape varieties in wine-producing regions across the world, different types of wines, spirits and liqueurs, plus the WSET Level 2 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine.
There is no prerequisite for attending the Level 2 Award in Wines and Spirits. Prior knowledge of wine basics is recommended, nonetheless. Presently, WSA has a passing rate of 97 percent with 75 percent of all graduates achieving above average ratings of Pass with Distinction and Pass with Merit.
Upon successfully completing the exam, graduates will receive a certificate and lapel pin to display as a badge of expertise.
