Traditional cinemas and arcades in Caloocan will remain closed for now, according to City Mayor Oscar “Oca” Malapitan, Malapitan said that it is part of the local government’s precaution amid the new COVID-19 South African variant recorded in nearby cities.

“Although we want our economy to continue to open, we still cannot risk the safety of the people, health is still our priority during this pandemic period,” Mayor Oca said.

The local government is also asking for understanding from the people of the city and insisted that all decisions are made for the welfare and safety of the majority.
