Police arrest, detain woman drug dealer suspect

Police busted a woman drug dealer and seized 139 grams of shabu worth almost P1 million in an entrapment operation Monday in Taguig City.

The suspect was Racquel Arales, 38, a resident of No. 07 Road 65, Manggahan Site, Barangay North Daang Hari, Taguig City.

Operatives of the Taguig City Police Station – Drug Enforcement Unit led by Capt. Salvador Camacho conducted the entrapment against Arales in Manggahan Site around 11 a.m.

A police officer acted as buyer and was able to negotiate with the suspect resulting in her arrest.

Recovered from the suspect were nine plastic sachets containing 139 grams of shabu, a mobile phone, a coin purse, five 100 peso bills used as buy-bust money, six P1,000 bills boodle money, and drug paraphernalia.

The entrapment operation was conducted in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency – National Capital Region and North Daang Bakal barangay officials led by Kagawad Mario Butial.

The seized drugs were turned over to the Southern Police District Crime Laboratory for chemical analysis and a case for violation of Sections 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) under Article ll of R.A. 9165 is being prepared against the suspect.

The suspect is now detained at the Taguig City Police Station Custodial Facility.

Arales’ arrest came two months following the arrest of two big-time drug dealers, also in Taguig, where the authorities seized P2 million worth of shabu.

The suspects were Tarhata Abdullah, 41 and resident of No. 329-B, Manuel L. Quezon Street, Lower Bicutan, Taguig City; and Joyce Rio Lusung, 18, of Sampaguita Village, San Pedro City, Laguna.

Anti-Narcotics agents from the Southern Police District and Northern Police District conducted the police operation at No. 329-B, Manuel L. Quezon Street, in Barangay Lower Bicutan late Thursday night.

Recovered from the suspects were six plastic sachets containing 300 grams of shabu, one mobile phone, a sling bag, assorted drug paraphernalia and the money used by the police in the entrapment operation.
