The city government of Manila has recognized of one of the employees of the Department of Engineering – Electrical Division.
Manila City Mayor Francisco “Isko” Domagoso admired Miguel Francisco for the act he showed and for not taking personal interest in the bag full of cash he returned to the owner.
Francisco found the bag at Caritas Manila in Pandacan last Friday, and immediately went to the Manila City Hall for proper turnover.
Domagoso said that whoever may have lost the bag may go to the Office of the Mayor to check his or her valuables.
“Iyong pera na iyon, imbes na pag interisan ni Miguel dala ng hirap ng buhay ngayon, wala namang nakakita, wala naman siyang inagrabiyado, napulot lang niya, pero umiral sakanya ang pagiging Batang Maynila. Ang Batang Maynila na may malasakit sa kapwa Batang Maynila,” Domagoso said.
“I’m proud of you, as your Mayor. We’re proud of you, as co-workers in public service in the city government of Manila,” he added.
