Weeklong job hiring in Caloocan as new admin provides opportunities

The Public Employment Service Office conducted its weeklong local recruitment activity under the directive of Caloocan City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan to provide part of the 10,000 new job opportunities for city residents.

The upcoming local recruitment activities are scheduled from9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday (July 6) at PESO South Caloocan-City Hall and Thursday (July 7) and Friday (July 8) at PESO South and North Caloocan City Hall.

A total of 3,640 jobs are available for the entire week, 741of which are being filled today wherein several of the applicants were hired on the spot.

The city government partnered with Alorica, SM ApplianceCenter, EEI, Savemore Market, Popular Resources Inc., Triple E, and Optimus Mobile Technologies, Inc. among others to help job seekers, renewing focus on employment amid the crisis.

The recruitment activity shall cater to fully vaccinated Caloocan residents, with open positions for both college and high-school graduates, as Mayor Along instructed.

“Naniniwalatayo na madiskarte ang mga Batang Kankaloo, oportunidad lang ang kailangan. Kayadapat, mapa-high school graduate o college graduate man, may trabaho dapattayong mailaan para sa kanila,” he said.
