Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo recently administered the Oath of Office to Quezon City Councilor Don S. De Leon at the Supreme Court offices in Manila.
De Leon previously served three terms in the QC City Council and is now back to serve a fresh term.
Among his priority legislation is the enactment of a Local Hiring Ordinance, wherein the workforce of QC businesses will employ 30 percent of people from the barangay where they are located, given that they are evenly qualified among other prospective applicants.
Also, De Leon aims for the establishment of a QC Health Card for all residents of QC, which is insurance-based and subject to the availability of city funds.
Councilor De Leon has been a long-term advocate of Youth Welfare and Development, as well as priority assistance to MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium-Scale Enterprises) through promotion, funding, support, and mentoring in their respective communities.
