Navotas Rep. Toby Tiangco and Mayor John Rey Tiangco recently led the blessing and inauguration of school buildings in three public schools in the city.

San Rafael Technological and Vocational High School and Tangos National High School now have additional four-story buildings with 12 and eight classrooms, respectively, while Bagumbayan Elementary School now has an additional three-story building with three classrooms.

“The completion of the buildings was suitably timed for the upcoming school year. The schools can now accommodate more students and hopefully, we will be able to put an end to shifting classes soon,” said Rep. Tiangco.

He noted that the construction of additional public school buildings in Navotas began in 2010 and intensified in 2015 in preparation for the full implementation of the K-12 program.

“Our youth needs to have a school environment conducive for learning. We want them to be comfortable while in school and to enjoy learning,” the lawmaker said.

Earlier, the Tiangco brothers led the inauguration of the four-storey building in Tangos Elementary School-Mother.

Since 2010, the elder Tiangco has pushed for the construction of 455 classrooms.
