Navotas firemen, schools get new gear

Mayor John Rey Tiangco has turned over 70 fire hoses to Navoteño fire and rescue groups and to the Navotas Bureau of Fire and Protection.

Tiangco handed four brand new fire hoses to each of the members of Navoteño Inc., an umbrella organization composed of 14 volunteer fire and rescue groups. He also gave 14 hoses to the BFP.

The fire hoses were donated to the city by Alliance Industrial Sales Corp.

On Friday, Navotas Rep. Toby Tiangco led the inauguration of school buildings and a bridge in the city.

Navotas Elementary School (Central) and Daanghari Elementary School now have additional four- and three-story school buildings with 12 and nineclassrooms, respectively.

During the inauguration at Daanghari ES, Mayor Tiangco also turned over 14 50-inch smart TVs to the school as part of the city government’s efforts to support the use of information and communications technology to improve the quality of education provided to young Navoteños.

The Tiangco brothers also reopened the Bangkulasi Bridge, which underwent repair in 2015, to the public. They rode avintage US Army jeep to cross the bridge for the ceremonial ribbon cutting.
