SM City Marilao transforms its 3,229 square feet mall atrium to a sPARKling holiday destination as it lights up its iconic Christmas centerpiece in October.
“Christmas festivities for this year will no doubt be different, but it would not stop us from observing this tradition as it brings joy, love, hope, and some normalcy to people,” shares SM City Marilao Mall Manager Engr. Emmanuel Gatmaitan.
This year’s Christmas centerpiece is inspired by Santa’s sparkling holiday villa. The 18-by-16 meter yuletide “park” is spread along SM City Marilao’s mall atrium and elegantly embellished with gigantic gazebos surrounded by life-size Santa Claus figurines, hundreds of golden gift boxes and a glittering 30 ft. Christmas tree.
Adorned by hundreds of local poinsettias, dazzling red and gold Christmas balls and ornaments and nearly thousands of LED lights and yards of garland, the repurposed Christmas tree will not only serve as a seasonal centerpiece in the mall but also an opportunity for shoppers to enjoy the Christmas spirit with their loved ones through picturesque, unique park holiday attraction.
Because Christmas is all about magic, shoppers at SM City Marilao may also discover Christmas around every corner as they come across collection of holiday trees and wreaths spread throughout the mall. There would also be interactive virtual surprises and family filled Christmas activities that will add extra touch of wonder to holiday shopping.
SM’s holiday centerpieces have been a part of the longstanding tradition that ushers in Christmas time in the province. SM City Marilao’s Santa’s sparkling holiday village will be on display until January 6, 2022.
