The provincial government of Rizal broke ground for the Northern Luzon Regional Hospital to boost the hospital’s capability.
The 2-storey level 2 hospital Northern Tagalog Regional Hospital with 200-bed capacity will be built in a 10,000-square meter lot purchased by the local government of Montalban.
Regional Director Eduardo C. Janairo said the NTRH will be the first DOH hospital in the province and the 5th apex hospital of the region that will be established under his tenure and leadership
“We can do many things to improve the lives of the people and give them the medical needs through this hospital,” he said.
The NTRH is an initiative Rizal Rep. Juan Fidel Felipe F. Nograles through House Bill 6524 (An Act Establishing NTH in Montalban) with the support of the local government of Montalban.
Assistant Regional Director Sydiongco emphasized the importance of the health facility as it will provide the needed health care and it will augment the scarcity of health in the province of Rizal.
He said residents no longer need to go to Metro Manila to seek medical treatment and get excellent medical services because this hospital will address these concerns.
An initial allocation of P85 million for the first phase of the project will include the out-patient department, emergency room and the main lobby. It is expected that the project will be completed in August 2022. Macon Ramos-Araneta
Second District Rep. Juan Fidel Felipe F. Nograles said the hospital will help heighten the province’s capacity to give medical services.
Since the hospital will be managed by the DOH-CALABARZON, Nograles said residents can be assured of the medical services and technology
This will also have an Infectious Disease Laboratory that will treat COVID cases and other infectious diseases.
Officials from the Department of Health (DOH) – CALABARZON (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) and House of Representatives led by Assistant Regional Director Paula Paz M. Sydiongco and Nograles joined the ground breaking ceremony.
The signing of the development plan and unveiling of the perspective plan was witnessed by Rep. Michael “Mikee” Romero (One Pacman Partylist), DOH Undersecretary and Chief of Staff Leopoldo J. Vega, Rizal Provincial DOH Team Leader Gerardo G. Mejorada and officials from the provincial government and local government of Montalban, Rizal.
Among the personalities who also extended their support to the project were Senator Bong Go and Rizal Governor Rebecca Ynares. Macon
