Angeles OTOP sale breaks X’mas records

Angeles City—The “12.12 PasalOne Na Po”, Angeles City’s 12-day One Town, One Product (OTOP) products Christmas promo has recorded “historic” online sales. 

Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel said that for 12 days, the OTOP store, kiosks, and their Facebook page showcased one item from the12 Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in a particular day. 

On December 12, Manuel added, 12 featured products were all sold at special discounted prices via Facebook live selling. 

Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. said that the initiative aims to promote local products and help local MSMEs especially now in this time of Covid 19 pandemic.

The city mayor’s Chief Adviser and Tactician Director IC Calaguas, assured city government’s all-out support to local businesses. She invited other city’s MSMEs to exhibit their locally-made products at Angeles OTOP store.

“Napakaganda ng gawaing ito para matulungan yung mga maliliit na namumuhunan sa lungsod, at mas makilala ang mga Gawang Angeleno,” Calaguas stressed. 

Angeles City Economic Development Investment Promotions OIC Irish Bonus-Llego said Lazatin waived OTOP store’s monthly P500 administrative fee.

The products featured in the live selling were miniature ships from Adto Ship; metal plant stands by BG Metals; water bonsais of the JJBMS Blooming Greens; plant baskets from Cutud Weavers; recycled bags by Ellen’s Handbags; kitchen organizers from Flores Handicrafts; bayong bags of Tamayuq; and hand-painted home decors by Tabak’s Artworks.

Also sold were fashion accessories of K’s creations; wooden kitchenware from WoodCraft by Madison; Capiz home decorations from Chilona Fabrica; and hair accessories of Stitched by Raj.

Aside from huge discounts, patrons were also treated to several prizes that included fashionable shirts designed by Frederick Policarpio; one-of-a-kind facemasks by Marlon Tuazon; Beautederm sanitizers and beauty soaps; IBAC wooden products; and limited t-shirts from Mahal Na Reina.
