SAN MARIANO, Isabela – Rep. Ed Christopher S. Go of the 2nd Congressional District of the province of Isabela has unveiled several House Bills that he authored that outlined specific programs and interventions for the 143 barangays that make up his legislative district.
As a result of his legislative amendments in the national budget, Rep. Go made it possible to fund infrastructure projects worth P3.5 billion this year.
Fondly called Cong. Tope, Rep. Go sought to support local economic development and the initiative to uplift the most disadvantaged sections of the district.
Some of his highlighted projects are the Widening of Tertiary Roads and Primary Roads in Daang Maharlika along the Naguilian-San Mariano Road, as well as primary and tertiary roads in Gamu-Roxas and the Construction of the Missing Links/New Roads Naguilian (Jct. CVR) – Palanan Road.
Work on the Disabunoan Bridge, Missing Links in the Naguilian-San Mariano-Divilacan-Maconacon-Palanan Road, Off-Carriage Way Improvement and Paving of Unpaved Roads in the Tertiary Roads of the Naguilian-San Mariano Road are also underway.
The Widening of Permanent Bridges of the Naguilian parallel Bridge along the Daang Maharlika and replacement of Permanent Weak Bridges such as the Saraga Bridge and San Jose Bridge along Naguilian-San Mariano Road are being undertaken.
For the protection of public infrastructure from flooding, the Construction of Pinacanauan River Flood Control Project in the barangays of Cataguing, Binatug, Dicamay, Palutan, Macayucayu, Daragutan West in San Mariano town is in place.
In the town of Naguilian, in barangay Palattao and Brgy. Roxas; Barangays Danga and District 1 (Package 1 and 2) in Reina Mercedes, and barangay District 3 in Gamu, Isabela are Flood Mitigation structures.
Meanwhile, improvements are being made to the access roads leading to the Palanan Airport (Kalsada Tungo sa Paliparan), the economic zone in Barangay Balagan-Macayucayu, and the highways to trade and industry that connect to the bio-ethanol plant in San Mariano.
These are part of the Tatag ng Imprastraktura para sa Kapayapaan at Seguridad Program (TIKAS), which also includes improving various infrastructure in support of national security.
Other projects under this program include the construction of a Training facility in Gamu town; construction of the Magat River Irrigation System in Reina Mercedes Main Canal Service Road (Kalsada Tungo sa Patubigan, KATUBIGAN);
Access roads and/or bridges from national roads, such as the construction of road with Drainage Canal at Phase 2 in Barangay Napaccu Pequeno in Reina Mercedes; Construction of road at Purok 5 and Purok 6 in Barangay Yeban Sur, Benito Soliven;
Roads in Barangay Roxas, Naguilian; a road, Roxas Street, in Barangay Magsaysay, Naguilian; and a road in Barangay Quezon to Barangay Quirino, Naguilian.
Construction of a drainage canal in Barangay Zone 3 of San Mariano, a flood control structure along the Disabungan River in Barangay Disusuan of San Mariano, and a drainage system with sewerage in Reina Mercedes for coastal roads are being used as a causeway for environmental protection and conservation. Additionally, Reina Mercedes’ water supply system will be built.
The installation of solar paver studs along the Naguilian-San Mariano Road was funded by the Special Road Fund, while construction and rehabilitation of water supply and solar water systems in San Mariano, Benito Soliven, Palanan, Naguilian, and Reina Mercedes are ongoing.
Multi-Purpose Buildings (MPBs) will be constructed in the various municipalities to complement the Social Services facilities, the congressman said.
These include a gym in Barangay Napacu Pequeno in Reina Mercedes, MPBs for the Municipal Government Center, the Public Market (Phase 2), the Municipal Building (Phase 3) and the MPB Terminal Building (Phase 2), all of which are in Barangay Napacu Pequeno.
Also set are the erection of Multi-Purpose Building, 2nd Community Defense Building in Barangay Upi, Gamu; in Minanga Elementary School, in Naguilian; Barangay Ara, Balliao, Capuseran, Sta. Cruz and Binogtungan, Villa Lucban Elementary School in Benito Soliven, Brgy. Dicadyuan, Palanan, Brgy., Dimatican, Minanga, Brgys. Isidro and Villa Robles in Palanan, respectively.
Reina Mercedes’ barangays are Barangay Dangan, Barangay District 1, Barangay Binarsang, and Barangay Turod, San Mariano’s Daragutan East National High School; Sitio Villa Miranda, Brgy. San Mariano’s Dibuluan; Brgy. San Pedro, San Mariano, and Brgy. San Mariano National High School in Zone 1, San Mariano, Gangalan, San Mariano, Barangay Minanga, San Marian Brgy, Barcolan in Gamu. and the completion of the Multi-Purpose Building at barangay Minanga, Naguilian, Isabela.
Completion of Multi-Purpose Buildings in Barangay Mallatang Grande, Labinab Grande, Nappaccu Pequeno, Santiago in Reina Mercedes while in San Mariano are barangay Buyasan, Allibadabad, and Del Pilar.
Furthermore, will be the maintenance, rehabilitation, and construction of the Cagayan River Flood Control in the different towns in district 2.
“With these efforts, I want to ensure that no one is left behind in the province’s 143 barangays,” the young solon continued.
Go has given scholarships for a variety of courses to the youths, empowered women, and other individuals in the hope that through learning and growth they can become highly skilled in their field. The sick villagers received medical aid and access to health services among other programs.
All-Purpose Vehicles (APV) were already provided in different barangays, and more will be delivered in the autumn months. These GO Patrol Services are essential in the quick delivery of services to the constituents, especially in emergency situations where every second counts, Go added. They will speed up the “GO Serbisyo” in response to the various barangay initiatives.
“These are addressing the stifling obstacles to business growth and investment that will result in more dependable, high-quality jobs that will allow us to accomplish our goals of reducing poverty,” Rep. Go stressed.
