Revilla, Recto, Amante, Suarez and Puno — CALABARZON’s Top Congressmen

The RP-Mission and Development Foundation Inc. (RPMD) assessed the performance of all House of Representatives members for the first quarter of 2023. The comprehensive evaluation is comprised of the results of the national survey of the job performance of the nation’s government officials.

In Region IV-A (CALABARZON), comprising the five provinces Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon, the results for the Top Representatives are as follows: Rep. Jolo Revilla (Cavite,1st District), Rep. Ralph Recto (Batangas, 6th District), Rep. Amben Amante (Laguna, 3rd District), Rep. Jay-jay Suarez (Quezon, 2nd District), and Rep. Robbie Puno (Antipolo City, 1st District).

Rep. Jolo Revilla of Cavite received the highest job performance rating of 91.7%. Rep. Ralph Recto of Batangas followed with 91.2%. Rep. Ambien Amante of Laguna came in second with an 89.4% performance score, followed by Rep. Jay-jay Suarez of Quezon with an 89.2% rating, and Rep. Robbie Puno of Antipolo City with an 89.1% rating.

Rep. Len Alonte of Biñan City (87.6%), Rep. Aniela Tolentino of Cavite (87.4%), and Rep. Romeo Acop of Antipolo City (87.2%) is tied for third place. Rep. Jack Duavit (Rizal) (85.8%), Rep. Dan Fernandez (Santa Rosa City) (85.3%), and Rep. Mark Enverga (Quezon) (85.2%) share fourth place.

Rep. Pidi Barzaga of Cavite (83.7%) and Rep. Ruth Mariano-Hernandez of Laguna (83.5%) ranked fifth in the most recent job performance evaluation.

Constituents appraised and ranked District Representatives based on representation, legislation, and constituent service, said Dr. Paul Martinez, Executive Director of RPMD.

Rep. Cha Hernandez of Calamba City (81.5%), Rep. Jinky Bitrics Luistro of Batangas (81.3%), Rep. Maitet Collantes of Batangas (81.2%), Rep. Lani Mercado-Revilla (78.3%), Rep. Roy Loyola of Cavite (78.2%) Rep. Ann Matibag of Laguna (78.1%), Rep. Jam Agarao of Laguna (76.7%), Rep. Mike Tan of Quezon (76.5%), Rep. Jojo Garcia of Rizal (76.3%) Rep. Fidel Nograles of Rizal (75.5%);

Rep. Reynan Arrogancia of Quezon (75.3%), Rep. Ony Ferrer of Cavite (72.8%), Rep. Marvey Mariño of Batangas (72.6%), Rep. AJ Advincula of Cavite (72.3%), Rep. Lianda Bolilia of Batangas (69.4%), Rep. Eric Buhain of Batangas (69.3%) and Rep. Dino Tanjuatco of Rizal (69.1%) is classified sixth to eleventh, respectively.

The “House of Representatives Public Satisfaction” survey was part of the national poll “RPMD’s Boses ng Bayan” conducted on February 25 to March 8, 2023, by RP-Mission and Development Foundation Inc., is an independent, non-commissioned nationwide survey performed per district in every region with a total of 10,000 respondent registered voters.

The sampling margin of error is at ±1 percent and 95% confidence level. Respondents were randomly chosen, and the number of respondents per district was distributed proportionally based on official voting population data.
