Governor Manuel N. Mamba led the ceremony during the blessing of the heavy equipment by Bishop Ernesto Tamayo in Barangay Mambacag, Tuao as it was turned over to the Provincial Engineering Office (PEO) on September 12.

“This brand-new heavy equipment will hasten the service of the provincial government in the locality,” Mamba said.

The new fleet of heavy equipment includes an amphibious excavator and a long arm excavator that cost P19.1 million total from the P22.5 million budgeted amount.

Two rollers and one bulldozer are on their way, as they were included in the P100 million fund from the 2022 budget of the provincial government, the governor added.

Meanwhile, Engineer Stanley Tungcul of the Provincial Engineering Office, Motorpool Division said the amphibious excavator has a 15-meter-long arm and a 10-meter working depth in the same manner as the other excavator.

These will now be used in the Small Water Impounding Project (SWIP) of the provincial government in Mambacag, Tuao.

Tungcul stressed the provincial government again was able to save P17.2 million from the set of heavy equipment procured.
