Committed to delivering world-class and real-life education, STI Education Services Group, Inc. (STI ESG) inaugurated STI Academic Center Legazpi recently.

Occupying 4,149 square meters along the bustling street of Rizal, Cabagñan East, in the city of Legazpi, the campus valued at about PhP350 million first opened its blue and yellow walls to students in August 2021.

“We at STI ESG take pride in continuously improving our facilities to provide an outstanding education to our students,” STI ESG President and COO Peter K. Fernandez said. “This just shows that no challenge will hinder STI’s steadfast pursuit of academic excellence.”

The new academic center, which is designed to accommodate up to 2,500 senior high school and college students, is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and simulation laboratories for hands-on learning such as a commercial kitchen, a mock hotel suite, travel and tours front desk, bar and dining hall, computer laboratories, air-conditioned classrooms with flat-screen TVs, a basketball court, and student activity areas with an internet connection, among others.

The campus offers in-demand collegiate programs such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Business Administration, Accounting Information System, and Hospitality Management, while the Retail Technology and Consumer Science and Tourism Management programs are still subject to application.

For senior high school, STI College Legazpi offers Academic tracks namely Accountancy, Business, and Management (ABM); Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM); Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS); and General Academic. Moreover, it offers IT in Mobile App and Web Development, Tourism Operations, and Culinary Arts in the Technical-Vocational track.

The campus also welcomes Grade 7 students in Junior High School starting the school year 2022-2023.

“It is our moral duty to constantly upgrade our campuses and facilities to provide real-life education to our students,” Fernandez added. “As part of our lifelong journey in upholding world-class learning, we prioritize the refurbishment of our existing campuses to serve as our foundation in nurturing individuals to become competent and responsible members of society.”

The inauguration was graced by STI Head Office Executives as well as VIPs from the province of Albay such as Mayor Carmen Geraldine Rosal, and officials from the Department of Education and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority.

The inauguration of the STI Academic Center Legazpi marks the latest addition to the growing number of STI Academic Centers in the country. These include campuses in Pasay-EDSA, Sta. Mesa, San Jose Del Monte, Lipa, Batangas, Las Piñas, Calamba, Cubao, Lucena, Caloocan, Ortigas-Cainta, Novaliches, Fairview, Naga, and Global City.

Overall, the inauguration of STI Academic Center Legazpi solidifies the institution’s continuous search for leading innovative and relevant education. Having delayed construction because of the pandemic restrictions did not hinder STI in delivering its mission of instilling holistic education in conducive learning spaces among the future leaders of the community.
