UNC Bataan, MAAP ink agreement for HS maritime program

Dinalupihan, Bataan—The University of Nueva Caceres (UNC) Bataan has partnered with the Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific (MAAP) to be able to give opportunities to first district residents begin career in the Maritime industry.

UNC Bataan, which offers senior high school TVL program with a specialization in maritime education, recently signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with MAAP.

Based on the agreement, the university will handle the core courses while the maritime school will provide instruction in the maritime subjects and access in its state-of-the-art facilities in Mariveles town.

MAAP is a world-class maritime school supplying graduates to top seafaring companies in Europe and Asia.

UNC Bataan is located in Dinalupihan. Other Bataan towns in the first district are Hermosa, Orani, Samal, Abucay, and Morong.

The MOA was jointly signed by UNC Bataan President Felicito C. Payumo and Admiral Eduardo Santos for MAAP. 

UNC Bataan aims to give only quality education, said Payumo.

The signing was witnessed by UNC Bataan Chairman of the Board of Trustees Atty. Federico C. Pascual and other university officials.
