BUHI, Camarines Sur—Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corp., in partnership with GMA Kapuso Foundation, recently inaugurated the steel hanging bridge in Barangay Iraya here.

After its groundbreaking last July, the hanging bridge was officially turned over to the residents of Brgy. Iraya, made possible with the help of MMPC and other GMAKF partners as well.

The construction of the hanging bridge will not only aid the students from Brgy. Iraya going to school safely every day, but also the residents to carry out their everyday routine efficiently.

It is the first bridge built under GMAKF’s “Kapuso Tulay para sa Kaunlaran” project. This 30-meter hanging bridge is made of steel and concrete, with solar powered lamps installed to illuminate the way in the evening.

During the celebration of Mitsubishi’s 100 years anniversary, MMPC donated P1 million to GMAKF to help construct the bridge.
