Bataan Energy Press Corps leaders take oath

BALANGA CITY, Bataan—The officers of the newly formed Bataan Energy Press Corps officers took oath on Tuesday.

Engineer Napoleon Viterbo, National Grid Corp. of the Philippines North Luzon District 5 Head, sworn in the officers of the media organization held at Crown Royal Hotel, this city.

Officers of the press corps are President, Mhike Cigaral (DZXL and CLTV 36); Vice President for Broadcast, Roel Tarayao (TV 5); Vice President for Print, Zeny Soriano (Bataan Primestar); Secretary, Josie Martinez (Net 25); and Advisers, Jun Bringula (DWIZ), Lulu Levera (Bataan Chronicle), Raffy Viray (Philippine Star) and PIA Bataan Manager JM Garcia. Butch Gunio of Manila Standard is adviser.

Viterbo said the press corps will be utilized in disseminating accurate, impartial, and comprehensible information about NGCP, and the power industry. He said the creation of the group will also ensure proactive resolution of emerging issues before making public announcements.

She said the press corps can also conduct a partnership program that will benefit the community such as but not limited to NGCP host communities in the province

Earlier in the day, the press corps officers toured NGCP BCCPP Substation and were given an orientation in Limay, Bataan.
