BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya —At least 37 centenarians here are set to receive P100,000 each from the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

Laura Donato, Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program provincial link officer, said the centenarians are from the towns of Ambaguio, Aritao, Bambang, Bayombong, Diadi, Dupax del Norte, Dupax del Sur, Kasibu, Quezon, Sta. Fe, Solano and Villaverde.

“Validations for the centenarians are ongoing. The fund is already downloaded at our regional office waiting for the complete documents before the scheduled door-to-door delivery [of the funds],” she said.

The centenarians will receive the benefits under the Centenarian Law even after they have received similar perks through the provincial government’s Centenarian Ordinance, which was implemented earlier.

Governor Carlos Padilla also asked DSWD officials to facilitate the required documents for the would-be recipients in the province.

“You can get the original documents similarly submitted by these centenarians to us because we are the first who implemented the law in our province,” he said.
