The City Government of Navotas Tuesday received commendation from the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) for being one of the exemplary Local Government Units (LGUs) in the streamlining and simplification of business permitting and licensing procedures and fully setting up an electronic Business One-Stop Shop (eBOSS).

The commendation was awarded to the city for its compliance to the Ease of Doing Business Law, following the inspection and evaluation conducted by the ARTA – Compliance Monitoring and Evaluation Office (CMEO).

Sec. Ernesto V. Perez, Director General of ARTA, personally conferred the certificate to Mayor John Rey Tiangco.

“We are grateful to ARTA for granting us this recognition. This is a testament to our city government’s commitment to provide the highest level of service to our constituents,” Tiangco said.

Through the city’s eBOSS facility, Navoteño businesses can apply, renew, and pay for their permits within the comfort of their own homes or offices.

The digitalization of government processes also ensures that instances of red tape and corruption would be minimized, if not eliminated.

Navotas is among the six Metro Manila LGUs that fully complied with the agency’s eBOSS mandate.

Sec. Perez also lauded the city for its Construction One-Stop Shop that provides an easier and faster way to obtain construction and occupancy documents.
