Rumbaoa unveils CFMC on 1st command visit

Acting Philippine National Police Regional Director in Region 2, Police Brigadier General Percival A. Rumbaoa unveils the Santiago City Maneuver Force Company CMFC as a drug-free work place in partnership with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA Reg.2) represented by Acting Regional Director Christy E. Silvan in consonance with EO No. 66 series of 2018 which mandates that government organizations remain drug-free for the effective and efficient provision of public services.

In statement Rumbaoa said “to guarantee administrative and operational goals being accomplished, assessment of status on personnel performance in precipitation of their duties must be prioritized. Good leadership means being disciplined and realized by the power of example.”

Rumbaoa also urged the Santiago law enforces to support ‘BIDA’ program or ‘BUHAY AY INGATAN DROGA’Y AYAWAN’ to eradicate illegal drugs. He also stressed the importance of working together at the local level to target both prevention and rehabilitation by promoting anti-drug education at all cost.

Rumbaoa’s visit to SCPO (Santiago City Police Office) includes the ribbon cutting of the City Mobile Force Company (CMFC) two-storey building which used to be a shanty alongside the Santiago City Police Office way back in 2019.

The construction started before the on-slaught of the pandemic and was completed recently. He also declared the City mobile Force Company a drug-free work place.

Additionally, Rumbaoa presented medals to SCPO personnel’s assisted by SCPO Director Pol. Col. Tirso Manolin -City Director of Santiago Law Enforcement. The Medals were for the successful anti criminality operations and the arrest of wanted persons. 

Santiago City Police office boast 92.6% on crime efficiency solution and almost 100% crime clearance efficiency , 26 barangays drug cleared and 1,578 fully rehabilitated individuals. 

Police Regional Office 2 (PRO2) also turned over equipments to SCPO such as ammunitions, long firearms like Galil and grenades for the anti-criminality campaign and counter terrorism.

One of the highlights of the command visit was the command conference in Palazzo Marcelino where Rumbaoa emphasized the PNP’s vision and mission in order to achieve the goals despite the order of mandatory resignation from the DILG.

Rumbaoa further reminded the Santiago cops to maintain discipline as they work toward the mission of battling crime, insurgency and illegal drugs in the city.

Rumbaoa, a former United Nations Peacekeeper in Timor Leste, Kossovo and Ivory Coast also trained with the federal Bureau of Investigation and the Scotland yard. He was one of the topnotchers  in the Criminology Board Examination in 1988 nationwide. He ordered the Cagayan Valley Cops as a whole to perform very well in accordance to the PNP’s mandate and enforce the law without fear or favor.S He said “this is one step progress in building trust with the people you serve and establish rapport for continuous community development.”
