Munti rolls out BookMobile for City schools

The City of Muntinlupa is bringing the joy of reading and discovery right to the students in schools.

The Muntinlupa City Schools Division Office (SDO) Library Hub BookMobile rolled out for its fifth year to assist students in developing their reading and comprehension skills.

“It’s important that we give priority to the reading ability of our students, but even more we need to make sure they are actually comprehending what they read,” Mayor Ruffy Biazon said at a storytelling session with students of Soldier’s Hills Elementary School.

As a project of the SDO, the BookMobile will be bringing the reading experience to public elementary schools in the City from February to May. The BookMobile will be in the following venues and dates:

– Bayanan Elementary School – Unit 1

(February 27-March 3, 2023)

– Bagong Silang Elementary School

(March 6-10, 2023)

(March 20-24, 2023)

– Sucat Elementary School – Main

(March 27-31, 2023)

– Cupang Elementary School-Annex

(April 3-7, 2023)

– Buli Elementary School

(April 10-14, 2023)

– Cupang Elementary School- Main

(April 24-28, 2023)

– Bayanan Elementary School Main

(May 15-19, 2023) Education is one of the priority programs of the Biazon Administration under the 7K Agenda. The BookMobile initiative is led by Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Carleen Sedilla, together with Learning Resource Management Section Supervisor Dr. Gina Urquia, and SDO Librarian Ms. Cecilia Ilarde.
