Star Cinema hits banner ABS-CBN special Lenten programming

ABS-CBN is having a special Lenten programming featuring hit Star Cinema movies and inspirational shows while delivering the latest news with News Patrol from today Holy Thursday to Black Saturday (April 11).

News Patrol is a 20-minute newscast that bring the latest updates as Luzon remains in enhanced community quarantine. 

Meanwhile, viewers can also enjoy values-filled blockbuster movies and shows throughout Holy Week.

Today, the love story of Laida Magtalas (Sarah Geronimo) and Miguel Montenegro (John Lloyd Cruz) will show how two opposite worlds will collide and become one in A Very Special Love (12:00 nn) and in its sequel You Changed My Life (2:00 p.m.). On the other hand, the magic of eternal love will be witnessed in She’s Dating the Gangster (8:00 p.m.), led by Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla.

Holy Thursday is also packed with values-laden programs and movies, including The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe (10:00 a.m.), Moments with Fr. Jerry (4:00 p.m.), The Lord’s Supper (5:00 p.m.),  The Bible (6:00 p.m.), Wonderful Nightmare (10:00 p.m.), and restored version of  Ibong Adarna (11:30 p.m.).

Tomorrow, on April 10, the tandem of Bea Alonzo and Aga Muhlach brings inspiration in First Love (8:00 p.m.), while shows and films Superbook (6:00 a.m.), Mr. Popper’s Penguins (6:30 a.m.), The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (10:00 a.m.), Seven Last Words (12:00 nn), Veneration of the Cross (3:00 p.m.), I Am Patrick (4:00 p.m.), The Bible (6:00 p.m.), Be With You (10:30 p.m.), and Wonder (11:30 p.m.) will teach lessons about kindness and faith in God.

On April 11 (Saturday), the iconic loveteam of Bea and John Lloyd hits the TV screens with their films One More Chance (12:00 nn) and A Second Chance (2:00 p.m.), while KathNiel shows how dreams and sacrifices make a perfect love story in Barcelona: A Love Untold (7:30 p.m.). Also airing on Black Saturday are inspirational shows and movies Superbook (6:00 a.m.), Dr. Dolittle 2 (6:30 a.m.), Fireworks (8:00 a.m.), The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (10:00 a.m.), Remy (4:00 p.m.), The Bible (5:30 p.m.), Sori: Voice of the Heart (9:30 p.m.), and Easter Vigil Mass (11:00 p.m.).
