The country posted its highest single-day death tally on July 12.
The Department of Health, after failing to update its COVID-19 tracker on Sunday due to the "significant volume" of data it received, today reported 162 new deaths for July 12, bringing the total to 1,534.
The department reported 2,124 new infections for a total case volume of 56,259.

Some 2,009 patients have recovered, bring the total number of recoveries to 16,046.
