MPIC hospitals scale up anti-Covid 19 efforts
Officials of the 16-member hospitals group, led by Metro Pacific Investments Corporation (MPIC) chairman Manuel V. Pangilinan and hospitals president and CEO Augusto Palisoc, Jr., recently created a crisis team to coordinate its activities to cope with the rising number COVID-19 related cases. Atty. Pilar Nenuca P. Almira, head of Cardinal Santos Medical Center and Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, was appointed head of team. “Our hospitals group are focusing their resources on critical concerns – particularly hospital care for the most critically-ill patients infected by COVID-19,” Pangilinan said. “By designating a hospital within the group to be the main referral facility for PUM/PUI and COVID infected cases, we are aligning our efforts with the Government to address the pandemic,” added Almira.
