P1-b hotel to rise in Baguio City

Filinvest Hospitality Corporation (FHC) recently broke ground on a P1 billion ($19 million) hotel investment in Baguio.

The hotel is located on a 5,700 sqm leased plot inside Camp John Hay.  The 25-year lease agreement is with Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) and John Hay Management Corporation (JHMC).  

The full-service hotel will feature 240 keys amidst open spaces and natural landscaping, three outlets, a spa, and meeting facilities. The hotel is slated to be completed by the 4th quarter of 2024 and will be operated by the FHC affiliate Chroma Hospitality (CHI) under the Grafik Hotels and Resorts brand. 

“This new hotel in Baguio. is our vote of confidence that tourism will come back better than ever,” said Francis Gotianun, senior vice president of Filinvest Hospitality Corp.

“We are thankful to our partners at BCDA, JHMC, and IFC for being part of our journey in creating a world-class, sustainable hotel in Baguio City. This is important for us as it will fortify our presence in Northern Luzon, both as a hospitality provider and a contributor to the local economy.”
