Outstanding Batangueños

The provincial government of Batangas awards Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Governor Benjamin Diokno (fourth from left) the Dangal ng Batangan sa Pananalapi ng Bayan during the province’s 440th anniversary. The Dangal ng Batangan is awarded to outstanding Batangueños who contributed to the political, economic and cultural development of Batangas. Diokno calls on Batangueños to heed the call of duty and take up the challenge to contribute not just to the province’s continued growth, but participate in the worthy cause of national development. This year’s Dangal ng Batangan awardees are Rep. Vilma Santos-Recto, Dr. Bernardo Villegas and Senator Christopher Lawrence Go.
