The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) spearheads a ceremonial signing of the implementing rules and regulations of Republic Act No. 11596 prohibiting child marriages and imposing penalties for violations thereof. Also present during the event are DSWD Undersecretary Jerico Francis Javier and Commission on Human Rights chair Richard Palpal-latoc.
