The Department of Finance says 12.05 billion liters of fuel were marked by the government from Sept. 1, 2019 to Sept. 17, 2020 under the Fuel Marking Program. Data from the department shows that Petron Corp. accounted for 2.913 billion liters of the total volume of fuel marked, followed by Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. with 2.528 billion liters and Unioil Petroleum Philippines Inc. with 1.359 billion liters. The Bureau of Customs raised P112.35 billion in duties and taxes as of Sept. 17, while the Bureau of Internal Revenue collected P18.82 billion in excise taxes from gasoline, diesel, kerosene and other fuel products as of Sept. 10.
