Lower Meralco rates

Manila Electric Co. announces a P0.41 per kilowatt hour reduction in power rates to welcome the new year. The downward adjustment this month is equivalent to  to P82 in total savings for a typical household consuming 200 kWh. Meralco public information office head Joe Zaldarriaga (in photo) says the overall rate reduction is primarily due to lower cost of power from Meralco’s Power Supply Agreements.
