2GO Travel, one of the largest shipping operators in the Philippines, said Sunday it held departures of voyages from Manila and Batangas as of 10 a.m. because of the threat of Super Typhoon Rolly.
Among the trips that were put on hold or cancelled are those bound from Manila and Batangas to parts of the Visayas and Mindanao on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1.
"The safety of all passengers, staff, crew and ships are of primary importance. 2GO Travel is closely monitoring the situation and continuously updating the public through text message and social media posts on our official 2GO Travel pages," the transport company said.
It advised passengers to call the company's hotline, send an e-mail or visit travel outlets for rebooking or refund.
