PSALM selling 5.4-ha. property in Pampanga

State-run Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management Corp. said Tuesday it is privatizing a 5.447 –hectare property in Barangay Lagundi, Mexico, Pampanga with a minimum bid price of P803.151 million.

PSALM said in a statement Tuesday the property has a clean title, adding the location is best suited for commercial land development. The lot is highly accessible through the North Luzon Expressway, Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway, MacArthur Highway and Jose Abad Santos Avenue.

The property is also near community centers like schools, hospitals and major shopping malls.

“The new owner may redevelop the area for wholesale and retail stores, shops and supermarkets. The area is also projected to benefit from the planned Manila-Clark Railway system which will be completed by the last quarter of 2021,” PSALM said.

PSALM, which manages the assets and liabilities of National Power Corp., set the deadline for the submission of bids for the property on Oct. 20 at 2 p.m., after which the opening of bids will immediately follow.

The bidding will be conducted at the PSALM’s office at the 24th Floor Vertis North Corporate Center 1, North Avenue, Quezon City. A pre-bidding conference will be held on Sept. 24 at 2 p.m. to answer inquiries from interested parties and especially those pertaining to the terms of the sale.

PSALM recently held a pre-bid conference for the privatization of five real estate assets in General Santos City, Loboc, Magdalena, Sudipen and Camalaniugan.
