Experience the extraordinary at DigiCon 2018

One of the most successful chief marketing officers in the global technology sector is speaking at DigiCon 2018, considered the Philippines’ largest event for digital technologies.

After two consecutive successful runs, DigiCon 2018 will be held on Oct. 3 to 5 at the Philippine International Convention Center to highlight the importance of customer experience.

“Everything’s an experience now. Brands can no longer depend on just the face of their products and services. Now, it’s about how brands make customers feel. It’s about creating memories about your brand,” said Internet and Mobile Marketing Association of the Philippines president Ken Lingan.

Organized by the IMMAP, DigiCon’s international lineup of speakers will be led by Bozoma St. John, one of the most popular women in the tech industry known for her defining roles on Apple Music, Uber, and her current position at Endeavor, an entertainment conglomerate where she has been appointed CMO.

“The sole purpose of the forming of our organization [IMMAP] is first to establish a digital market industry, and its main goal is how to convince and build confidence amongst advertisers to shift investments towards digital marketing,” said Lingan.

A total of 65 speakers from different industries including Asher Rapkin of Facebook, Shaifali Nathan of Google, Hosi Simon of Vice Media, Samuel Burke of CNN, TP Pura of Sephora, Chris Tran of Riot Games and many more will share their insights throughout the three-day event.

“What to expect in DigiCon XE? We will be having three chats. The first chat is what we call ‘UX’ which will talk about User Experience where speakers will be talking about design, technology, and digital interaction,” said IMMAP vice president Dennis Perez.

“The second chat is what we call ‘CX’ or Customer Experience and this chat will talk about e-commerce, fulfillment and customer analytics. And lastly, the third chat is what we call ‘BX’ or Brand Experience and we will be talking about creatives, branding, communication, how to properly use Instagram, Youtube, what’s the proper video that goes along with digital,” said Perez.

“For the first time, we’ll be bringing in the youth in DigiCon, we are actually having IMMAP YouthCon [separate from the main DigiCon.  We will be having the same speakers, but it’s tailored for students and we are choosing and currently scouting the best students in the Philippines as of the moment,” he said.

IMMAP will be setting up two DigiCons in 2019, the first in Cebu in May and the annual DigiCon in Manila in October.

“As technology shifts power from brands to consumers, businesses need to understand the importance of creating an impression through meaningful experiences. Through DigiCon 2018, we wish to keep the Philippine brands up to par with the world’s best,” Perez said.
