Globe’s data, call services improve

Globe Telecom Inc. said its call and data browsing services improved in the second quarter from a year ago as it aggressively ramped up network rollout in the National Capital Region.

Based on the latest data from Ookla, Globe’s LTE consistency score for Metro Manila reached 81.30 as of the second quarter. Globe posted a 53.96 mark in the same period last year.

Since its sustained network upgrades and builds in Metro Manila, the technology company was getting at least 80 mobile consistency score since April in Metro Manila.

“We aspire to bring the best service to our customers and give them an elevated mobile experience. Since last year, we have made significant strides to bring our Consistency Score to the level of other providers in the world,” said Globe president and chief executive Ernest Cu.

“We encourage our customers to upgrade their 3G SIM cards to 5G-ready 4G LTE SIMs and upgrade their devices to 4G LTE to further enjoy the benefits of our network upgrades,” he said.
