DITO Telecom expands services to 15 more areas

DITO Telecommunity Corp. announced over the weekend the expansion of its mobile services to 15 more towns and cities nationwide.

The company said its services as of May 1 became available in Plaridel, Bulacan; San Fernando City, Pampanga; Gapan City, San Leonardo and San Jose City in Nueva Ecija; Ibaan and Batangas City in Batangas; Kawit, Bacoor City and Imus City in Cavite.

It said they are also now available in Toledo City, Balamban and Barili in Cebu province in Visayas and in Santo Tomas and Braulio E. Dujali in Davao del Norte in Mindanao.

“Subscribers from Central Luzon, South Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao can avail of DITO’s 25-GB High Speed Data for P199 promo, which is valid for 30-days,” DITO said.

“Aside from fast and reliable data services, they can also enjoy unlimited DITO-to-DITO calls and texts plus unlimited texts and 300 minutes of voice calls to other mobile networks. Features such as call waiting, call forwarding and video over LTE are also now available for DITO subscribers,” it added.

DITO initially rolled out its commercial service in 15 cities in the Visayas and Mindanao on March 8, before expanding to 21 more cities mostly in Luzon on April 16.

DITO earlier said it would launch its mobile services in Metro Manila by the second quarter.

The company spent over P150 billion for the initial rollout of its infrastructure and other operating expenses as part of its commitment to invest P250 billion over a five-year period to achieve 55 mbps of internet speed, covering 84 percent of the population.
