Eastern allots P2.8 billion to modernize network

Eastern Communications on Monday said it is spending P2.8 billion to expand its high-speed broadband network nationwide.

The telecommunications company plans to establish its presence in Davao City, Cagayan de Oro, Iloilo, Bacolod, Tarlac, Cagayan Valley, and La Union. It also plans to expand and modernize its network in Cebu, Batangas, Laguna, Rizal, Cavite, Cebu and Bulacan.

The company said it would earmark P2.8 billion to expand its footprint and reach, as well as modernize the current network.

“Eastern Communications has transformed in terms of the services we’re now offering to our customers and we have also expanded our footprint in other key areas in the Philippines. Our goal this year is to go nationwide” said Eastern co-coordinator Aileen Regio. 

This includes focus on providing fast and reliable internet connections and managed service-based products that complement its portfolio of telecommunications and ICT solutions.
