BPO firm calls for new round of donations for the underprivileged

TELUS International Philippines Community Board, TELUS International Philippines’ fund-granting foundation is accepting grant applications from non-profit and charitable organizations up to September 15 for the third quarter period.

“Giving back has become a huge part of who we are, and we are working relentlessly to help address the needs of our communities. Over the last 11 years, we have been actively looking out for opportunities to provide support to a wide range of community programs through the TELUS International Philippines Community Board. To date, we’ve contributed more than P50 million to 133 projects, charities, and organizations throughout the Philippines,” said TELUS International Philippines corporate social responsibility senior manager Phoebe Carrera.

In 2022, the TELUS International Philippines Community Board helped improve the lives of 4,492 Filipinos through the support of 14 non-governmental organizations (NGOs), including PadyaRescue Incorporated and Center for Agrarian Reform and Rural Development.

PadyaRescue is a non-government organization (NGO) based in Pangasinan launched the initiative Go Bike Project, wherein young volunteers travel within their own communities on bikes to deliver first aid and basic medical support, such as blood pressure monitoring, first aid, and blood sugar testing. Support from the TELUS International Philippines Community Board has helped train 30 youth volunteers to deliver these critical services to rural Filipino communities.

Since 2012, the company’s donations and volunteer activities have made a profound impact on the lives of thousands of Filipinos in areas such as education, health, and the environment.
