The Philippines can now export canned pineapples duty-free to Australia after the Australian Anti-Dumping Commission made a final decision to discontinue the anti-dumping measures applying to consumer and food service industrial pineapple exported from the Philippines to Australia.

The measures will expire on Oct. 17, 2021 for consumer pineapple and on Nov. 13, 2021 for FSI pineapple. The rates of the anti-dumping duties that will soon expire are 5.9 percent for Dole Philippines and 22.9 percent for all other exporters for consumer pineapple. The AD duty for food service industrial pineapple products is 18.7 percent.

The Department of Trade and Industry requested the termination of the anti-dumping measure during the 2nd PH-AU Trade and Investment Dialogue on April 20, 2021 and again during the 5th PH-AU Ministerial Meeting on Aug. 23, 2021.
