Coca-Cola Philippines on Tuesday announced another $63-million (roughly P3.06 billion) worth of local investments this year.

Coca-Cola Philippines president and vice president of franchise operations for Coca-Cola Far East Region (Philippines, Vietnam and Cambodia) Antonio Del Rosario said Coca-Cola would continue to invest in double-digit numbers in the Philippines as it navigates its way out of the pandemic.

“Despite all the challenges that we have, we remain cautiously optimistic about 2021. And we believe that we know with our strategies and plans, we will continue to be able to grow our share and consumer preference. We are obviously committed to helping the Philippines recover from this crisis,” he said in a briefing Monday.

The company plans to invest around P21 million in the first quarter to help around 5,000 additional entrepreneurs restart their business.

Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines Inc. president and chief executive officer Gareth McGeown said the company was further buttressing its production capacity to serve consumers nationwide.
