Isuzu Philippines Corp. said it hit milestone sales of 300,000 units since it started selling in the Philippines 24 years ago.

Isuzu president Hajime Koso said the company achieved the mark of 300,133 units in August, amid the industry-wide drop in sales because of the COVID-19 crisis.

“The company is honored to have achieved this milestone, and as we move towards the next, we vow to continue to provide business solutions and at the same time uphold local manufacturing contributing to the Philippine economy,” he said.

Isuzu attributed the milestone sales to the company’s wide range of commercial vehicles that serve as a reliable business solution to customers nationwide.

The company sold 241,389 light commercial vehicles and 58,744 commercial vehicles, since it started its operation in 1996. Majority of the sold units were locally manufactured in their assembly plant in Laguna.
