Philippine Airlines said Friday it added more long-haul flights for the upcoming ‘winter’ schedule that begins in late October amid rising demand during the holiday season.

“We are heeding the call for more flights to and from the US Mainland, Canada and the UK to serve many of our fellow Filipinos who want to rejoin their families in time for the Christmas holidays,” said PAL senior vice president and chief strategy and planning officer Dexter Lee.

“As travel restrictions ease in coming months, our nonstop global links can help the Philippines stage a comeback in tourism,” he said.

The flights include Manila to Los Angeles and vise versa (10 to 12 weekly flights), Manila to San Francisco-Manila (daily flights), Manila-New York-Manila (two to three weekly flights) and Manila– London–Manila (twice monthly special flights).
