NLEX Corp. said it plans to complete the pavement maintenance works at the North Luzon Expressway and Subic-Clark Tarlac Expressway by June this year.
NLEX Corp. president and general manager J. Luigi Bautista said the comprehensive pavement repairs were being done annually, covering the entire expressway, to ensure safe driving experience and improve the quality of service.
“Every year, we repave our roads portion by portion to make sure our motorists continue to experience safe and efficient travel. Our engineers regularly inspect the expressway and do the necessary repairs before serious damage takes place,” Bautista said.
The ongoing maintenance covers the 109,886-square-meter section of NLEX and 31,600-square meter section of SCTEX.
The tollway company assured that minimal lane closures were being implemented while signs and other warning devices were installed to guide motorists passing the repair sites.
