Raynaud named country head of L’Oréal PH

L’Oreal Philippines new country managing director Yannick Raynaud is leading the post-pandemic recovery of L’Oréal Philippines. She has boosted the company’s focus to digital, and beauty tech to adapt to the dynamic behavior of consumers.

Raynaud has built a stable and flourishing career taking on various leadership roles in marketing, brand management, and business management across several mature and emerging markets in North America and Europe, after joining L’Oreal 23 years ago.

“In my years of experience in L’Oréal, I was able to witness the growth of different kinds of markets, catering to a wide range of consumers. The Philippines is a beauty market to watch out for as it is driven by an increasing beauty and personal care consumption, digitalization, and growing consumer sophistication. I am excited to be trailblazing in the field of beauty in the Philippines, powered by the global expertise of L’Oréal Group and shaped by the Filipino consumer behavior and habits. I’m also equally inspired to continue our sustainability and social impact transformation to help improve the lives of Filipinos through the power of beauty,” she said.

Raynaud has led teams in numerous countries before taking on her most recent role as managing director of Travel Retail Americas, leading a vast team across the Americas. Under her leadership, she’s significantly increased market share and achieved record leadership position in those regions.

Since her arrival in the Philippines in the second half of 2021, Raynaud spent time taking in the local beauty landscape while guiding the company’s marketing force to seize the beauty market’s rebound post pandemic, in trying to reshape the 5-year growth strategy of L’Oréal Philippines.

Leading the organization, Raynaud is responsible for maintaining a balanced and sustainable growth strategy in beauty and in leading the digital and sustainability transformation at L’Oréal Philippines.

She has also challenged status quo to create new business models that champion sustainable growth while continuously adapting to challenges and recruiting multi-skilled talents to drive results.

As a leader that believes in the power of innovation, Raynaud has modernized brands through radical and innovative changes from brand priorities to operations, connecting with her consumers through digital marketing. Her love for the beauty category inspires her to create impactful, collaborative work for the brands and departments she’s led. She is equally passionate about creating an atmosphere of learning and purpose within the teams she’s worked with.

In the past year, L’Oréal Philippines has also expanded its e-commerce operations, boosting online presence that significantly contributed to increased sales.
