The Lord Mayor of the City of London, Alderman Alan Yarrow, arrived in the country Thursday to lead a group of bankers from the world’s biggest financial center looking for opportunities in the Philippines.
“The world is coming to the Philippines. It is the third time that Yarrow visited the Philippines on different capacities. He is bringing in a list of famed banks, financial management and financial services companies to assess the possibility of London-based financial companies getting into the Philippine financial sector,” the UK embassy in Manila said.
The Lord Mayor is the ambassador for UK-based financial and professional services industry. His visit to the Philippines is part of an official trip to Southeast Asia that also includes similar missions to Myanmar and Thailand.
