Ma. Fe Perez Agudo, President and CEO of Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. , the official distributor of Hyundai commercial and passenger vehicles in the Philippines, congratulated the champions: “We at HARI are immeasurably proud of our Filipino technicians for bringing home Gold. This latest triumph underscores that Hyundai offers unrivalled After-Sales Service and technical expertise through our 42-strong dealership network, supported by our world-class training team at the Hyundai Logistics Center.”

The winning combination of Junio and Rellosa came together for the Asia and Pacific leg of the WSO after a selection process to find the best and brightest Hyundai technicians in the country. The technicians then underwent dedicated training at HLC for two months before the regional competition. After their victory, Junio and Rellosa continued training at HLC until they flew to South Korea in October.

When asked how it felt to return to the Philippines as the top technicians in Hyundai’s global trucks and buses network, Rellosa said, “Unang-una, nagpapasalamat ako sa Panginoon dahil binigyan kami ng pagkakataon na pumunta sa South Korea, makilala ang mga technician sa ibang bansa, at ipakita ang kakayahan namin.”

Junio added, “I’m very thankful. Sobrang proud at napakasaya talaga.”

Underscoring Hyundai’s commitment to excellence, Ms. Agudo affirmed, “Gary Junio and Mark Rellosa exemplify what it means to be ‘People of Hyundai.’ Not only have they proven their brilliance by winning the World Skills Olympics; they have also exemplified their determination to serve customers best by building strong careers that illuminate their exceptional and dedicated mastery of the Hyundai brand of service.”
