The Quezon City government is putting up a five-story 100-bed capacity hospital in Barangay Batasan Hills near the House of Representative complex.

City administrator Aldrin Cuña said the facility will “not only to service the poor in the area but also those from the other five legislative districts.”

The hospital shall be called the Rosario Maclang Bautista General Hospital, named after the late mother of Mayor Herbert Bautista.

Bautista’s mother succumbed to heart failure and complications due to diabetes at the Delos Santos Medical Center in Quezon City on March 3, 2008.

The public hospital with a category of level 2 will open and become operational in 2018, Cuña said.

“Even those from Districts 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6 can come and be accommodated,” Cuña said.

Cuña said the new hospital will need at least 326 medical and non-medical personnel.
