More than 100 families affected by the construction of the NLEX-SLEX Connector Skyway in Caloocan City were relocated by the local government.

Majority of the affected families were transferred to their new homes in a relocation site of the National Housing Authority in Norzagaray, Bulacan while the rest were moved to a condominium-type relocation project in Caloocan City.

According to Mayor Oscar Malapitan, the displaced families underwent several briefings before they were relocated.

The P23.3-billion NLEX -SLEX Connector Skyway is an eight-kilometer, four-lane project of the Department of Public Works and Highways that will connect the two expressways to shorten travel time in going to the North coming from the South.

The said project is expected to be completed by 2020.
