New water ultrafiltration plant in PH

Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) Acting Administrator Jeci Lapus shows how unclean water is converted into potable water as the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Eduardo Año looks on during the formal inauguration of the new ultrafiltration treatment plant in the province of Antique.

The facility, operated by the Pandan Water District, was recently put into operation to purify water from the town's main water source, the Malumpati Spring, which had become murky and contaminated due to heavy rain and human waste.
